Overview

As an accredited specialist MSc, this degree provides you with a chance to expand, refine and enhance your knowledge in the Logistics and Supply Chain Management subject area. The programme is accredited by two international professional bodies, the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (UK) (CILT) and the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) have accredited.

Programme Duration

It can take a student four years to complete a full MSc, but it can be completed faster or over a longer period. It is self-paced.

Programme Outline

The programme comprises of five mandatory courses, and three optional. Students wishing to progress onto the MSc will also have to complete a dissertation. Courses are assessed by a written examination and/or written coursework. Pass these and join our global network of Edinburgh Business School graduates and business professionals.

Programme Fees

The MSc degree comprises of eight courses and a capstone project. Each course is £1,340 and the capstone project is £1,480. The full programme fee is £12,200. You can study on a course-by-course basis and pay as you learn, or sign up for two or three courses at once.

Entry Requirements

Typically, you will hold a recognised first or second class honours degree, or equivalent professional qualification. Students whose native language is not English and who have not been educated previously in the English language must provide evidence of their English language proficiency. Alternatively, Heriot-Watt Online students can take exams in two courses of the programmes, Operations Management and Strategies for Managing Supply Chains. Based on the result from these two courses you will continue the programme at MSc level.

Student Support

Students in Nigeria can also attend scheduled exam-intensive lectures and tutorials with EDC either in person in our Lagos centre and Abuja centre or online via Zoom ahead of each examination diet. The lecture timetable is released in advance of these sessions.
